On the exhibition stand GEA Group focussed on process integration. This means the successful combination of components and products from the GEA companies with the core business of Huppmann and Tuchenhagen Brewery Systems, namely the construction of brewery plants.

Comprehensive expertise

At Brau Beviale 2007, Huppmann and Tuchenhagen Brewery Systems were showcasing their comprehensive expertise in the manufacture of brewery equipment and highlighting the strategic alliance of the two companies for the first time. Together they cover the entire process in the brewery: hot and cold process area from malt intake to the brewhouse and fermentation/storage area up to the finished beer. The providers include products from GEA Group companies in their solutions: process components from Tuchenhagen and GEA Ecoflex, mechanical separation systems from Westfalia Separator Foodtec and measuring equipment and process systems from GEA Diessel are important components for top-quality brewery plants.

Market accepts the concept

The “from a single source” philosophy is meeting with widespread market acceptance. Joint projects for leading brewery groups as well as for private breweries prove the success. Some examples: This year, the new Cruzcampo brewing facility in Seville has been completed and the Russian Baltika Group has received new brewing equipment in Samara and Novosibirsk. In Nuremberg, a new production plant for Tucher Brewery is under construction. This is also one of the joint projects of Huppmann and Tuchenhagen Brewery Systems.  The Singha Group in Thailand has met its ambitious growth targets with Huppmann in the past 18 months. Lion Nathan is building a new cold process area with a PROFI® filter cellar together with GEA Process Australia and Tuchenhagen Brewery Systems. After completion, it will be one of the biggest membrane systems for beer filtration worldwide.
