In a modern brewery operation, the carbon dioxide content of a beer is adjusted at the final step of production. Flexibility and consistent product quality are the main advantages of carbon dioxide adjustment. As one of the final steps, the carbonation process is critical to the final taste and appearance of the product.
Carbonation plants need to have a very high hygiene status at all times and must be easily cleanable. In our systems we have therefore put special attention on the CO²-injection nozzle and the dissolving section design.
When it comes to dissolving nitrogen into beer, the design of a plant must accommodate the very low solubility of nitrogen. Our CONTI-STREAM CN 2000™ system can claim that it has successfully fulfilled this challenge under practical conditions for many years.
